Getting the Size Right
Handle size matters more than most people realise. A handle that’s too small looks lost on a large drawer; one that’s too large overwhelms a small door. As a general guide:
- Small drawers (under 400mm wide): Knobs or short bar handles (64–96mm centres)
- Medium drawers (400–600mm wide): Bar handles (96–128mm centres)
- Large drawers (over 600mm wide): Long bar handles (160–256mm centres) or two knobs
- Cabinet doors: Knobs or short bar handles positioned in the upper corner
Mixing Handles
